It's been a while since I created a workout!
But I'm not joining the gym and figured I could do with something I can do at home, so this is my plan for the morning.
Today I also signed up for the Race for Life (link to my justgiving page) in aid of Cancer Research UK I'll be running a 5k in June round a local manor house estate.
I'm so excited because I've never done anything like this before, and it feels so good having something to aim towards. I really want to step things up (as much as I can while I'm still revising of course) and try to get myself in shape to make a really good try of this event!

New Workout!
I haven't posted on here in ages!
For the past couple of months I've been joining in with the Nerd Fitness challenges. It's such an amazing community over there and I've been having so much fun!
I've been struggling a lot with what I've been eating and generally just feeling like crap, therefore I eat like crap, and it's just not very good. However, I saw the film Catching Fire the other day and it made me all like...ugggh to be all fit and stuff. Basically Jennifer Lawrence is my idol and please can I be her?
So I came up with a workout. I add other moves in, but this is the core of the workout. Training like a career for the win!

Working Out
I've lost 2lb since starting my dietbet! Just hope I can keep that off this week and improve on it for next week :)
Today I didn't go to the gym, as I went yesterday, instead I did day 5 of the Blogilates Sweatember Calender. You have to subscribe to her site to get the password to be able to see the calender :) However, this was my favourite video from today's workout! My arms were dying!!

Working Out and Passing Exams
Guess what?!
I passed both my resit exams. Yaaaaay :D I am so beyond happy. I am finally entering into my final year at university. I've waited so long for this and now I'm here and I can barely believe this.
There may have been a Chinese take-away ordered and eaten tonight, but I can neither confirm or deny that haha. Right now I'm starting to think about my holiday, got my list done of what I want to take, as that way I should be able to pack a little easier and without too much hassle.
My gym has been shut, so I've been working out at home and with the weather being so beautiful I've been doing so outside. Not today unfortunately, as my knee and hip are going crazy! Proper shooting pains every so often when I walk. Not pleasant at all, hoping it's better for tomorrow.
Anyway, so I created this workout. There's a warm up, the workout and some stretching. It's an all over workout, with some cardio and some strength. Incorporate weights/bottles of water to make it harder and add resistance, but everything can be done without weights too.
It's a very long workout, so I've placed it under the cut. If you have a go at this, please let me know :)

Healthy Food and Exercise
I'm living with my parents at the moment, back home from university for the summer, and I was a little...worried, about how my diet would go. But as it turns out, they're both on diets too! My dads lost half a stone already, in about a month, so yeah. Woo hoo! My mam's jealous, because she's not losing anything, but she will, I know she will :).
Anyway, my mam has been taking all of our dinner recipes from these Rosemary Conley (how good does she look for 60 something btw?!) magazines and recipe books. And I thought, hmmm, I'll have a look through, and there was a breakfast suggestion in one of them that I just had to try. Well, I had it the other morning, and it's become pretty much my staple meal lately xD.
That's two wheat-a-bix with just a little milk (enough to make them a little soft) topped with sliced tinned peaches. It's 168 calories and it's delicious! Plus it's already a pretty decent start to one of your five a day, right?
It's such an awesome post workout breakfast I can't even begin to tell you.
Today I also went to the gym - it's moving, and I really hope the room it goes to has windows - I killed it! 5 minute warm up on the rower - high intensity, I was sweating before I'd even really started. Then I did this:
Now, you all know how much I love and adore Cassey Ho off of Blogilates. She's my major fitspiration - her and Jennifer Lawrence, they're both such beautiful healthy ladies. And she's been making these printables and today I was like - I am doing this!
I was a bit of a wimp and only did one set of each, but this wasn't the only thing was doing. I added on about 30 more squats, plus plie squats with heel raises, chest presses, skull-crushers etc.
I was dying! Then I did 10 minute sprints on the treadmill.
My stomach hurts now, and I can't tell if it's actual tummy ache or if it's my muscles xD, but it only really hurts when I stand up. But it's so sunny and warm out today, I really don't plan to do a lot of standing haha.

New Workout
I've been going to the gym this week, around midday after doing a few hours revision, but then before bed I find time and do a short fitness routine of my own making - like the ones I've posted before.
Today I'm planning on squats!
Squats, as anyone who's interested in fitness will tell you, are awesome. Done properly they work an amazing number of muscle groups, including the biggest of them all - your bum. Now, my bum's huge, but I want it to be perky - thus, squats.
Some instructions:
Keep back straight, head up, shoulders back, and when you squat keep your knees in line with your toes.
Plie squats - feet wider than hips, toes turned out
Squat jumps - if you live in a flat/need to be quiet, keep you're jump small and make sure to bend your knees to soften the landing.
Squat, side crunch - Down for your squat, stand up and press your knee at the side up towards your shoulder (like a sumo wrestler) to work your obliques
Then get down into the squat - may want to take the feet a little wider - press fingers up towards the sky, bring hands round wide, back to centre, then do two quick jabs forward. Repeat x20
Squat kicks - Still in your squat, kick your leg out to the side.
Narrow squat - knees and feet together and go as low as you can!
I've been thinking of making short videos to go with these, but we'll see :)
Have fun squatting! and be prepared for your thighs and bum to hurt the next day :D

Cardio Workout
Today I don't have time to go to the gym. I've got revision this morning, then the dentist, then shopping, then seeing my Grandma, then going to my Nana's to hopefully complete the dress I'm making (I'll take a photo once I finish :D), then I've got to get the house all tidied for when my parents get home from their holiday tonight. So yeah, no gym time.
Instead I did this kickboxing style workout, plus the halterneck arms I posted yesterday.
While doing this workout, keep bouncing on your toes, and really spin your hips into all your jabs and kicks.
If you don't know any of the moves, google them :D

New Workout
While it's been snowing every day, I'm getting ready for the end of May and the end of my exams. When I plan to spend quite a lot of time in halterneck dresses :). The fiance and I are talking about going camping, I may be going to Ireland and maybe to Norfolk. So I don't have to plan for a 'bikini body', but I'd like to have toned arms and legs :).
This workout, a few times a week, combined with cardio and of course working other muscle groups will see your shoulders, back and arms becoming sleek and lean in no time :)

Workouts
My fiance has decided that he too wants to lose some weight, which is awesome because it means I don't have to do this on my own anymore :D
Now, he could totally do some of the workouts that I do, but he's a bloke and he's 6 feet and rather broad, so really he needed workouts that would push him a bit harder and will help him build more muscle. Same when it comes to the food he'll be eating. I've been feeding him, because otherwise he'd just forget bless him, and I've been making sure what he's eating is healthy, but he wants to fit into this suit for 3 weeks time. So I've come up with a 'diet plan' too, so hopefully he'll succeed :).
Both of these workouts are perfect for us, as there's no jumping about included, which when you live on a top floor flat is just want you need. But they're also strenuous, make sure to use a weight that pushes you (women ~ 2-5kg, men ~ >5) but doesn't make you hurt.

Mid-day Workout
I didn't go to the gym again today, because I have enough work to be doing at home tbh, so instead, when I was sick of watching New Girl and trying to work out my pharmaceutics report I did a little workout in my flat :)
I started with a sort of dance/cardio workout of my own that went to Taylor Swift - 22. I can't remember exactly what I did. There were side lunges and speed skaters, but I kept my arms moving. Basically I just moved for 4 minutes and got my heart rate up. If I manage to I might video it one time...maybe.
Then I did these:

I'm not sure of the source of these images, I found them on Pinterest through Backonpointe, but I'm pretty sure they're not hers. If anyone knows let me know so I can link please :)
I also did this arm thing, which is like 'Tone your arms in 7 days' and I've done it for 3 on the trot now, I haven't noticed a significant difference, but tbh I don't believe in these 'lose this much in this many days' and all that. It comes from hard work and perseverance. If you want a quick fix, then you're doing the wrong thing :)

Post-birthday Work Out
Yesterday was my 22nd birthday! I had an amazing day in Durham with Rob before coming home and eating lots of chocolate and sweets and pancakes. Then we had caterpillar birthday cake with my friends and played Carcasonne and card games :)
Now it's the start of Lent, and I'm still not sure what I'm giving up. Last year I gave up bread, but I'm already not eating bread - pretty much - so there doesn't seem to be much point. I was thinking dairy, but I'm a student, without much money so it seems wasteful to say that I won't eat the many yogurts that I have in my fridge. I'm thinking like 'white carbs' - pasta, white rice etc. but I don't know. Maybe I'll just keep trying to be healthy and things - it's not like I'm religious.
I was going to go to the gym today, but it's snowing and cold and I don't want to. So instead I've done this workout:

Afternoon Exercises
Just done these exercises from backonpointe. I didn't do them in their entirety, I missed some bits out, but I'm knackered now!! Going to do a little bit of work, then walk to my friends...hopefully I can get a lift home, I might die otherwise haha.
Any moves that I wasn't sure about I youtube'd, and I also added weights to some of these too, just to make it a bit harder.
I didn't really break a sweat, but I live in a top floor flat, so I can't exactly be doing jumping jacks or jumping about. But while I'm not going to the gym, doing these little routines and walking everywhere will hopefully work quite well :)
