Lots of Yummy Food

Woke up early this morning and spent about half an hour in the gym. Not long, I know, but certainly long enough. After my time in the gym, I made myself some pancakes again, but this time I added blueberries in, and instead of a chopped banana, I had raspberries and honey :D.

 It was so yummy!

And it made me feel good, which is all I wanted from this new 'diet' thing. I'm still trying to lose weight and be sexy in a bikini of course. Me and my fiance have decided that we're going to go somewhere sunny, after my resits :).



Then for my lunch, oh my lunch :)

Two rashers of grilled bacon, one grilled tomato and one poached egg. So yummy, and just what I wanted. I really wanted something fatty to be honest, and my brother was making bacon sandwiches, and I've heard that eating fat without carbs is better for you or some such thing. So yeah :)

I'm feeling much better today, better about having to do these resits and better about myself. Looking forward to two weeks on Monday when this will all be over :)

Today may not be a diet day, but that doesn't mean that I'm still not going to eat healthy. I have a little bowl of Llamas (these amazing wheat chili snacks that are just so awesome) and my cherry smoothie :)

Low, low calorie smoothie

Today is diet day!

Which means I'm taking in no more than 700 calories, and you know what, it's not that hard. Like, 700 calories isn't much, but honestly, it's not that difficult to stay within that boundary and still feel full. But I haven't been to the gym yet, so we'll see how I go.

2 tablespoons wheat bran
Squidge of honey

Fitocracy & Raspberry Stawberry Banana Smoothie

I discovered this website called Fitocracy, and now I'm obsessed.

You gain points by doing exercise, any exercise! And when you have so many points you level up :D I'm not at level 4. It's a little exciting.

Raspberry, Blueberry, Coconut Milk Smoothie

Today I restocked my freezer of frozen fruit :D and also bought some coconut milk. I've heard some really good things about it, it's got both calcium and vitamin D in, which is always good. I wasn't sure how well it would go, because I hate malibu and other coconut drinks, but I can't taste it!

Reckon I'll be adding coconut milk to all my smoothies this week :)

Yummy Smoothie!!

This was a brilliant smoothie! Tinned fruit makes smoothies so easy. When I buy my fruit, I go for the cheapest, simply because it's going to be mushed up, so who cares what it looks like?!

1 tinned pear
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 teaspoon low fat smooth peanut butter
1 tablespoon low fat natural yogurt

Lunch Time!

Had another lie in this morning, it was heavenly! I really shouldn't be so excited about getting to sleep in, but I suppose that's what happens when you're an adult *sigh*.

Got friends coming over tonight to play board games and things, which will probably result in the ordering of a take away, more likely than not Indian or Pizza. So I walked to uni today, had a small bowl of cereal for my breakfast (no sugar) and now I'm having a super fruit packed lunch

Mango Berry Smoothie

I was really impressed with the smoothie I had yesterday, so I made a similar one today. T'was super yummy and kept me going all morning to lunch time.

Mango Raspberry Smoothie

This is such a super yummy smoothie! It ended up really thick too, which was lovely. I left the frozen raspberries and mango chunks out to defrost for about 30 minutes, just to make it easier to blend.

1 tablespoon wheat bran

Lunch time!

Still not very well, as though I'm going to get better in a day xD.
Fancied a smoothie for lunch, which is odd because most the time I have a smoothie because that's what I'm allowing myself, but yeah this time I really wanted it.
It was super tasty :)


Ingredients
1/2 cup chopped cucumber
1 chopped plum
4 halved strawberries
3 tablespoons low fat natural yogurt
Spoonful of pomegranate
~200mL apple juice

It's a pretty watery smoothie, more a juice really, but it was super lovely.

Yummy Breakfast Smoothie

This morning I am sick. I have a blocked nose, a headache and a slightly raised temperature. But I've got to go to uni. I wanted cereal this morning, but me and the fiance are lazy so there are no clean bowls - how lovely. I'm washing up this afternoon.


Ingredients
1/2 cup raspberries
1 whole banana
5 red grapes
3 tablespoons yogurt
1 tablespoon wheat bran
~200mL apple juice

Whiz it all together and voila, yummy breakkie smoothie. I only hope I can actually taste it!

Summer Fruit Smoothie

On Friday I made little freezer bags full of frozen fruit to make smoothies with while I was at home, which is great. Except I left them in my freezer and the flat, so over the weekend I was back to normal diet, which was difficult because I'm used to having smoothies, so deciding what I wanted for lunch in Morrison's was hard.

Anyway, this was one of my freezer bags :)

1/2 frozen banana
1 cup frozen summer fruits
3 tablespoons low fat natural yogurt
1 tablespoon wheat bran
~200mL apple juice

This was a super tasty smoothie, and perfect for a morning. It was a little sharp but not too much, enough to wake me up :)

Good Morning!

This morning I prepared two smoothies, as I'm at uni 9-5 (I'm here right now in fact). But I was bad. I drank my morning smoothie - super yummy - but I was so hungry at lunch that I had a mexican chicken and bean flat bread and a packet of crisps. Very not good.

But I've walked to uni and I'll be walking home. Stole my mum's pedometer so I can monitor how many steps and calories I'm burning doing that.

Have to say though, my thighs and my bum's killing me today! That workout yesterday was much more intense than I expected. Hoping that I have enough energy tonight to do Blogilates Muffintopless video tonight, but I suppose we'll have to wait and see.

Anyway.
Breakfast - strawberry banana smoothie
Breakfast was a very yummy strawberry banana smoothie.

Ingredients
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 whole banana (chopped)
1 tablespoon wheat bran
1 strawberry yogurt pot
1 tablespoon wheat bran
~200mL apple juice

T'was very yummy and I drank that straight away as I faffed around making the other one.

Lunch - tropical smoothie

Lunch was supposed to be a tropical smoothie, but that didn't really happen.

I do have it, and I am drinking it, but I cheated and ate lots of other things to.

Ingredients
3 pieces of chopped pineapple ring
1/3 cup frozen mango
1 1/2 apricots
1/4 cup blueberries
1/3 cup low fat natural yogurt
~200mL apple juice

Both these smoothies were very yummy. But today's been a bad day. In fact, it's been a bad week. I'm not doing very well lately. I must pick it up the next few days. I'm determined.

Apricot Raspberry Smoothie

Hello :)

Real life is totally kicking my arse at the moment, I feel like there's not enough hours in the day to get everything done that needs doing. But I'll cope, I always do.

This morning's smoothie was so tasty! Very chuffed. Had a Greggs sarnie for my lunch though - not so good. But I've walked to uni and I'm walking to my friends to sign the contract for the new house this afternoon, so that'll help.

Mango, Raspberry Smoothie

The last of my prepared smoothie bags this morning. I'm off to a wedding fayre with my mum today, quite excited :D so I needed lots of energy.

This is a really lovely smoothie that kept me pepped and motivated all morning.

Summer Fruits Smoothie

Ate this while I was at work. T'was very yummy. Girl at work had a taste to and she liked it - I might have converted her!

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Afternoon :)

Back home from work and time to post things. I prepared both my smoothies this morning and drank one before work then took the other in my bottle to work and drank it there. I'm quite hungry now, but I'll be having tea in a couple of hours and I'm planning to have a nap, so I shan't snack :).

Ingredients
1 apple, peeled cored and chopped
1/2 banana
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 activia pear yogurt
~200mL apple juice

Whiz it all together.
For a vegan smoothie, remove the yogurt and use a whole banana instead :).

Strawberry, blueberry smoothie

Afternoon!
I'm in lots of pain, and my painkillers aren't working - yay!

This smoothies pretty yummy, and it lasted me quite a while, which is nice :)

Ingredients
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/3 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup of greek yogurt
squidge of honey
~200mL apple juice

I forgot to take a photo of it when it was all mixed, but it was a pretty awesome pinky-purpley colour.

It was very tasty and that's all that matters to me :)
